MEET DR. DAN STRAKAL
Known as “The Business Consultant For Today’s Problems” and “The Entrepreneur’s Entrepreneur”, Dr. Dan Strakal has been an expert on the changing workplace, business life, career transition, and entrepreneurship for nearly 20 years. He is the host of two business-related syndicated radio talk shows, Business Buzz With Dr. Dan and Business Minute With Dr. Dan. Both programs are broadcast in various markets across the United States and are also available via MP3 download or RSS/Podcast worldwide.
Dan is the author of the upcoming book Montana Style Management: Common Sense Tips For Today’s Leaders and is the coauthor of Better Job Search in 3 Easy Steps: The Easy Way To Jumpstart A Career and Better Job Skills in 3 Easy Steps: The Easy Way To Develop Job Skills. He is also the author of the Career Planning and Adult Development Network bimonthly column, Strengthening the Client/Company Connection, which contains concise and timely information and ideas to assist corporate and government leaders, educators, and employees to be as productive and successful as possible. In addition, Dan has written over one hundred business- and career-related articles for a variety of publications.
Growing up in the mountains of western Montana, Dan began working full-time at age 16. In his travels, he learned valuable and common sense workplace lessons and ethics as a cowboy, sawmill worker, logger, and miner. He applied these lessons well, continued his education, and during his career, Dan has held several executive positions in industry and government, high-level administrator and faculty positions in higher education, and has started and now runs three successful small businesses. Now through his radio shows, consulting activities, speaking engagements, and one-on-one strategy sessions, Dan shares these lessons with dozens of organizations and thousands of people each year to balance work, family, and life issues and overcome the challenges and barriers they face in creating satisfying and successful workplaces. Dan earned his college degrees while working full-time. His education includes a Doctorate degree in Adult Learning (Emphasis: Organizational Behavior), a Master's of Education in Training and Human Resource Management, a Master's of Science in Technical/Project Management, and a Bachelor of Science in Pre-Physical Therapy.
